What is Pronox?

Pro-Nox™ is an FDA cleared analgesia that delivers 50% Nitrous Oxide and 50% Oxygen. Pronox is helpful in reducing discomfit or anxiety associated with aesthetic procedures.

How does Pronox work?

ProNox is simple to use because it can be taken whenever you need it. You can use a mouthpiece with ProNox to help you relax and reduce the pain and intensity of the treatment. When you use ProNox, you also have complete control over the situation.

 

By simply breathing through the mouthpiece until you reach the level of comfort required for the procedure. This will not numb you in any way because you will remain awake and aware of your surroundings. ProNox will not put you to sleep. Nonetheless, it only alleviates your pain and anxiety.

How Long Does ProNox Last?

Effects from Pronox wear off in 5-10 minutes. There is no trace of the chemical in the body. The short-lasting effects of ProNox allow the patient to reap the benefits of an analgesic, while still being able to drive after a procedure.

Is Pronox Safe?

Pronox is FDA cleared and has safely been used for over a hundred years in surgical, childbirth, and dental settings. The gas quickly enters your bloodstream where it triggers a sedative effect. After a few breaths of normal air, it completely exits your system again without any lingering effects.

What are the side effects of ProNox?

Does the PRO-NOX™ Nitrous Oxide System Have Side Effects? The PRO-NOX system does not have lasting side effects. The most common side effect is nausea, which can be quickly eliminated by taking a few deep breaths without a mask.

Who cannot use Pronox?

Pro-Nox is contraindicated for patients, providers and assistants in the first trimester of pregnancy. Other contraindications include: upper respiratory infections, inner ear issues, recent eye surgeries, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), active cystic fibrosis.

 

There is a fee of $50 if you opt to use Pronox for Laser hair removal. Pronox is included at no charge for filler and Genius RF microneedling treatments.
